The Second Meeting of the Africa - Indian Ocean Aviation System Planning and Implementation Group (AASPG/2), will be held in Livingstone, Zambia, from 2 to 6 November 2026.

The meeting will be conducted in the English and French languages with simultaneous interpretation, and the documentation issued in the same languages. Your Administration/Organization is kindly invited to participate in this meeting.

Several Conclusions and Decisions were adopted during the AASPG/1 meeting. The AASPG/2 meeting will review the status of implementation of these Conclusions and Decisions and will also consider, under the Performance Framework for Regional Aviation Safety and Air Navigation Planning and Implementation, the outcomes of the activities of the Group’s Contributory Bodies. This will include progress made in the implementation of Basic Building Blocks (BBBs) and ASBU elements, the identification and resolution of air navigation deficiencies, the status of Projects’ activities, the AFI airspace monitoring, safety enhancement initiatives, regional and national aviation safety and air navigation plans, emerging Air Navigation issues as well as other regional safety and air navigation initiatives.

The agenda, explanatory note and documentation for the meeting will be posted on the ICAO ESAF and WACAF Offices websites (http://www.icao.int/esaf and http://www.icao.int/wacaf ). The meeting will be conducted in the English and French with simultaneous interpretation, and all documentation will likewise be issued in both languages.
