Workshops on Loss of Control In-Flight (LOC-I)/Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT), and Controlled Flight into Terrain (CFIT) Nairobi (Registration Open)

The workshops are being organized by the ICAO Eastern and Southern African (ESAF) Regional Office in collaboration with the ICAO Western and Central African (WACAF) Regional Office with the support of Kenya.
The workshops will be conducted in the English language with simultaneous translation into the French language. These events will provide a forum for reviewing trends, challenges and mitigation measures associated with LOC-I and CFIT and CFIT occurrences in the AFI Region. They will also facilitate the sharing of best practices and the development of effective safety enhancement initiatives to support the implementation of National Aviation Safety Plans (NASPs) and the AFI Regional Aviation Safety Plan (AFI-RASP), in alignment with the ICAO Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP). A detailed work programme will be shared in due course.
The target audience includes civil aviation inspectors in flight operations, air traffic management (ATM), personnel licensing, aircraft accident and incident investigators, pilots, instructors and other operational personnel from air operators and training organizations. In this regard, your Administration is kindly requested to extend this invitation letter to relevant stakeholders within your State.
