Joint Annual ICAO ESAF/WACAF 2026 In‑Person Workshop on Environmental Protection with EASA (Registration Open)

The event comes at a pivotal moment for aviation and climate action, following the adoption of three key environmental resolutions during the 42nd Session of the ICAO Assembly in October 2025. Designed to support progress toward an environmentally sustainable aviation sector at the regional level, the Workshop will feature presentations from ICAO, EASA, industry stakeholders and partners on topics such as CORSIA, SAF, LTAG and related environmental initiatives. Member States will also have the opportunity to share their experiences and best practices.
The Workshop will be conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation provided in French. To facilitate timely preparation, I request the nomination of expert(s) from your State/Administration who are engaged in areas such as State Action Plans, CORSIA implementation, fuel suppliers, airline environmental programmes, SAF feedstock production, SAF policy development, academic research on SAF, emissions‑unit project development under CORSIA, or government departments working on environment and Article 6 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
